CDB Exchange Programme

7 Child Volunteer Managers of CDB from New Delhi, Muzaffarpur, Colombo and Kabul visited Italy from 11th to 25th April 2007 for an exchange programme. They spoke about the CDB to representatives of Italian governments, UNICEF, NGOs, school and college students and addressed many press meetings. They traveled to Vicenza, Padua, Florence, Sienna, Rome, Bologna, Verona and Milan. Everybody eagerly listened to the children in the meetings and acknowledged that the CDB plays an important role in empowering the street and working children with life skills. The CDB delegation also spoke about the situation of street and working children in their respective countries which created a change in the thinking of people who had believed that the children should not work at all without taking into consideration the circumstances in the developing countries that make the children to work. The exchange programme was facilitated by Associazione Solidarieta e Cooperazione (A.So.C.), Italy.
